The Pianist

Directed by: Roman Polanski Language: English Year: 2002 Genre: drama, historical drama Starring: Adrien Brody, Thomas Kretschmann, Frank Finlay, Emilia Fox Synopsis   During the World War II, an acclaimed Polish musician Wladyslaw faces various struggles as he loses contact with his family. As the situation worsens, he hides in the ruins of Warsaw in order to survive. My view ”The Pianist” is an intense drama film directed by Roman Polansky based on the autobiography of Wladyslaw Szpilman. The movie is set in the late 30s and 40s. It's about the story of Wladyslaw Szpilman, a Polish jew and his struggles to get through the Jew holocaust by the Germans.  This movie is not totally about the Nazi Holocaust on the Jews, it portrays the events occured to the protagonist (Szpilman). How he went through such horrible times, how the man survived such a massacre. When he first heard the news about the relocation of Jews, he decides not to leave h

Part one of endless scribbling

Tell me to forget everything But not you As you'll remain inside me for eternity As a spirit that picks me up when I fall As a Santa Claus in my dreams Cause you were the eternal sunshine of my spotless mind And will always be.                                   Love, Farrier09

All the bright places

Theodore Finch  is fascinated by death. Every day he thinks of ways he might die, but everyday he also searches for -and manages to find -something to keep him here and alive and awake. Violet Markey  lives for the future, counting the days until graduation when she can escape her small Indiana town and her aching grief in the wake of her sister's death. All the bright places is a 2015 young adult novel by Jennifer Niven. Unlike what the cover conveys, it is not a mediocre teenage love story.  All the bright places is a story about two damaged kids doing a school project, a story about a girl who learns to live from a boy who wants to die. Finch and violet meets at the top of the bell tower at school, both considering to jump off. But somehow they both save each other from doing so.   Later finch persuades violet to be his partner for their U.S geography-“wander Indiana project”. They explore every bit of Indiana before graduation. The story is told

Bienvenue à Pondichéry

After months of planning, we finally decided to book train tickets to Puducherry. We had no idea about the place, nor we had known anyone who had gone there. We just saw some beautiful pictures on Instagram and that was it. Why not Puducherry?  It took us some time to find an affordable room and a nice place to eat breakfast. There are a lot of rooms available near the W hite Town and its better because there are a lot to see within a kilometre radius. We had to get ready by afternoon and had to cover the nearby destinations by the end of the day.  We left out the big endeavours for the very next day. Transportation Its better to rent a bike or a scooter when you are in Puducherry because buses don't get into most of the places and you would have to walk an extra mile. You can find lot of  cheap rentals in Mission Street.  We took 2 scooters and a bike and we had to ride triple in one scooter. But don't worry,  Puducherry has got the least strict traffic syst

Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Directed by: John Hughes  Language: English Year: 1986 Country: United States  Genre: drama, teen film, comedy  Starring: Matthew Broderick, Alan Ruck, Mia Sara, Jennifer Grey, Jeffrey Jones Synopsis A high school wise guy is determined to have a day off from school, despite what the principal thinks of that.  My view Ferris Bueller's Day Off is an American coming of age movie directed by John Hughes. The cast members have performed excellently. Especially, Matthew Broderick, it's like he was born for this role.  Coming to the story Ferris Bueller is nothing like any other high school movie kids we've seen. Usually, in every high school movie, the boy/girl is either an introvert, have a bad family, all the other kids hate him/her or all of the above.  But here surprisingly Ferris Bueller is this ideal kid. He's famous, handsome, is a good singer, got a nice family, has a pretty girlfriend, and everybody likes him. It&

Dead Poets Society

Dead poets society Directed by: Peter Weir  Language: English Year:1989 Country: United States  Genre: Comedy, Teen film, Drama Starring: Robin Williams, Ethan Hawke, Robert Sean, Josie Charles, Gale Hensen, Kurtwood Smith. Synopsis   John Keating, a progressive English teacher, encourages his students to break free from the norms, go against the status quo and live unapologetically. My view Dead Poets society is Peter Weir's second movie and is known as one of the greatest feel-good movies of all time.  There are some movies that, if you watch them for the first time at the right age it will mould and inspire you. Dead Poets Society is undoubtedly one of them.  Even though the movie was released in 1989, the topic it discussed still has a great importance in the present day. The story takes place at a boarding school where students are like broilers and are taught nothing except textbook stuff. John Keating (Robin Williams) por

Who will win the Ballon D'Or 2018?

There are a lot of quality players out on the field with potential of acquiring the so called best player award in the world easily known as the “THE BALLON D’OR”. Since the year 2008 this mesmerising price has been shared among two, who are known to the world as  CRISTIANO RONALDO  and  LIONEL MESSI.  Both of them are so far presented with 5 of the awards equally throughout these years. To be honest no one else other than these two has not even came close into winning the award after 2008. But this year a number of different things have happened. Lots of underdogs have proved their worth and are told to be possible winners of this Glamorous award. As the World Cup is upon us on July, it will play a major role on declaring the Ballon D’Or winner this year. With the help of various experts and from the form they are in, we have reduced a 23 possible nominees list: (not in chromatic order)           1.  Lionel Messi  (FC Barcelona) It was quite a wonderful year for th
