The Best Exotic Marygold Hotel

Directed by: John Madden Language: English Year: 2011 Genre: Drama, Comedy Starring: Judi Dench, Bill Nighy, Penelope Wilton, Dev Patel, Celia Imrie, Ronal Pickup Based on: These Foolish Things by Deborah Moggach Synopsis A decrepit hotel hosts seven British tourists who come to Jaipur on a holiday. Each one has a past and a new ambition. Their lives intervene with their host, who is also trying to get a grip on life. My view The Best Exotic Marygold Hotel is a retirement destination in Jaipur, India for the "elderly and beautiful". A group of seven British with seven different reasons come here.  1. Evelyn Greenslade - Forced to sell her London flat. 2. Michel Donelly - Hates foreigners, but in need of cheap hip replacement. 3,4. Douglas & Jean Ainslie - Not so happy couple and also has lost a bundle of money on their daughter's internet company. 5. Graham Dashwood - Had spent his happiest youth year...

Sex education - Real, witty and tempting series

Directed by: Kate Herron, Ben Taylor Cast: Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Ncuti Gatwa, Emma Mackey, Connor Swindells Language: English Year: 2019 Genre: comedy, drama Created by: Laurie Nunn Synopsis  Socially awkward teenager Otis Milburn is ambivalent about sex, despite his mother being a sex therapist who is frank about all aspects of sexuality. After inadvertently assisting the school bully with his sexual performance anxiety, Otis sets up a sex advice business with Maeve - a confident but vulnerable classmate - to educate their fellow students in how to deal with their own sexual problems. My view  Sex education is sweet and funny. Moreover, it's a vivid teenage series which do care about its wise characters. The story stretches with an awkward embarrassed teenager Otis Milburn who struggle with his divorced mother's occupation (a sex therapist) and her influence on his personal life. Otis accompanies with Eric Effiong bril...

Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Directed by: John Hughes  Language: English Year: 1986 Country: United States  Genre: drama, teen film, comedy  Starring: Matthew Broderick, Alan Ruck, Mia Sara, Jennifer Grey, Jeffrey Jones Synopsis A high school wise guy is determined to have a day off from school, despite what the principal thinks of that.  My view Ferris Bueller's Day Off is an American coming of age movie directed by John Hughes. The cast members have performed excellently. Especially, Matthew Broderick, it's like he was born for this role.  Coming to the story Ferris Bueller is nothing like any other high school movie kids we've seen. Usually, in every high school movie, the boy/girl is either an introvert, have a bad family, all the other kids hate him/her or all of the above.  But here surprisingly Ferris Bueller is this ideal kid. He's famous, handsome, is a good singer, got a nice family, has a pretty girlfriend, and everybody l...

Dead Poets Society

Dead poets society Directed by: Peter Weir  Language: English Year:1989 Country: United States  Genre: Comedy, Teen film, Drama Starring: Robin Williams, Ethan Hawke, Robert Sean, Josie Charles, Gale Hensen, Kurtwood Smith. Synopsis   John Keating, a progressive English teacher, encourages his students to break free from the norms, go against the status quo and live unapologetically. My view Dead Poets society is Peter Weir's second movie and is known as one of the greatest feel-good movies of all time.  There are some movies that, if you watch them for the first time at the right age it will mould and inspire you. Dead Poets Society is undoubtedly one of them.  Even though the movie was released in 1989, the topic it discussed still has a great importance in the present day. The story takes place at a boarding school where students are like broilers and are taught nothing except textbook stuff. John Keating ...
